More than 100 years –old RYOKAN stands aside River Tanoharu, very famous for a set of old Japanese film “TORASAN”.
Tairokan is established in 1900, just aside peaceful River Tanoharu. Since that, many travelers and guests have been healing their body and mind.Also once an old Japanese film ‘Torasan’ was set in our Ryokan.
Waterfalls hot spring and other 7 bathes welcome all our guests, welling up continuously every moment. You will enjoy a line of local and fresh dishes in a classical style.

Type of hot spring is sodium chloride carbonated spring.The water is used straight out of the well without any heating or cooling.All our guests can reserve any bath for free.

The Kyushu Odan Bus by Kyusanko travels directly from Kumamoto (Kumamoto Station, Kumamoto Kotsu Center and Kumamoto Airport) to Kurokawa Onsen, before continuing on across Kyushu to Beppu.
5 mins by car from ‘Kurokawa Onsen’ bus stop. We can pick you up if you inform us in advance.
